Rowan University highly values the academic achievements of Phi Theta Kappa members who are set to graduate from any of New Jersey’s 19 community colleges. In order to support these outstanding transfer students, the university offers three renewable PTK scholarships, each worth $1,000. To ensure fair consideration, applicants should closely adhere to the following eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolment and Membership: Prospective candidates must currently be enrolled full-time at a community college in New Jersey and must be active members of the esteemed Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at the time of their application.
- Degree Completion and Transition: Applicants should plan to complete their associate degree by the conclusion of the upcoming spring semester. Following this, they should enroll as full-time students at Rowan University in the subsequent fall semester to be eligible for the scholarship.
- Official Transcript Submission and Evaluation: By May 27, interested students must diligently submit their official transcript to Rowan University. The selection committee will carefully review all received transcripts and identify applicants with the three highest GPAs showcased in their final official community college transcript.
Notification Process
Candidates should be expecting news the first week of June. Selected recipients will receive notification directly from Rowan University.
